So the end of last year in 2021 I had organised to get health insurance for Jaxon so he was able to get the new insulin pump. This new insulin pump for his is the TSlim which works well with the Dexcom G6 CGM. About two weeks ago Jaxon received his loan pum as we need to be on the health insurance for 12 months before he gets it. When we recieved it we learnt how smart, and amazing it is. I no longer need to keep buying AA batteries as this one recharges, it also predicts when he goes low. During the time Jaxon has had it he has done so well not many lows and not many highs. His been sitting pretty steady. Although yesterday over my birthday he didnt sit nicely he was going high and was going low it was all over the place but as they say diabetes is never the same as it was the day before.
At the end of this month we will be driving up to the sunshine coast where Smartpups are located. So fingers crossed the rain stops and floods ease down. We will be up at the sunshine coast for 2 days to visit the Smartpups and the puppies hopefully one of them is the right pup for Jaxon and then we will be able to start the training and get our smart pup this year. As we all probably tell im super excited and so is Jaxon.
Over my birthday I have been fundraising some funds to help the puppies, and the children. All funds goes towards helping the additional needs children obtain a smartpup and to help with the cost of raising these puppies and training them to be the best service dogs.
